The highly anticipated move had long been expected and was officially announced on July 19, 2010. After three seasons and multiple Emmy award wins and nominations on FX, the highly acclaimed but relatively little watched Damages has a two year deal with DIRECTV satellite TV.
The creators of the series, Todd A. Kessler, Glenn Kessler, and Daniel Zelman built the show around the relationship between mentor and protégée. Playing the mentor Patty Hewes, is the highly respected Glenn Close. She is a cutthroat lawyer at the New York law firm of Hewes & Associates.
