The story of human beings who are exploiting the resources of another planet inhabited by alien creatures is cool enough, but having the mix of live action and this latest generation of animation that is absolutely incredible makes this movie a wonder that all should see. Just as the Wizard of Oz is a classic still enjoyed today, so will Avatar be enjoyed for generations to come.

Alice in Wonderland Johnny Depp nails the look and mannerisms of the Mad Hatter. Based on the fact of hat makers of the time of the book who literally went mad due to exposure to mercury in the hat-making process, just a look into the eyes of Depp's character shows the insanity of the Hatter. An old classic remade with special effects that bring the book to life.

The Wolfman Anthony Hopkins can make any movie worth watching. Add to the cast Benicio Del Toro and this story of the werewolf is one that makes it all seem like it could actually be real. It's all about good acting and directing. The Wolfman will grab you by the throat as the story develops. Might want to leave the light on for this one.

Shutter Island Leonardo DiCaprio fits this role perfectly. He is absolutely believable as a US Marshall investigating a disappearance of a patient from a psychiatric hospital on an island that makes Alcatraz easy to escape from. This movie is a trip down a rabbit hole that even Alice would be too frightened to go into.

Green Zone Matt Damon is always good. From Goodwill Hunting to Jason Bourne he is always a box office draw for good reason. In Green Zone, Damon is an Army officer in Iraq searching for the elusive WMDs only to find a cover up that is more elaborate than anyone ever expected.
